FEATURE

HIGHLY ACCLAIMED FOR OPERA PERFORMANCES

Biwako Hall is highly regarded both in Japan and overseas as one of Japan’s leading opera theaters.
By combining the sound equipment and stage mechanism that are particular about the details, and the power of excellent staff, we also produce operas that have had few opportunities to premiere or perform in Japan from familiar performances. Has won numerous awards. In addition, in the “Invitation to Opera” series, we are performing an opera that can be enjoyed by children who see it for the first time and those who are opera enthusiasts.

GIFTS FOR THE NEXT GENERATION

Since its opening in 1998, we have been engaged in performances and activities for young people in order to deliver wonderful emotions and experiences to the next generation. The lineup includes “Invitation to Opera” for opera, “Orchestra Class for Children” for orchestra, and performances that young people can easily watch in theater and dance. In addition, the Biwako Hall Vocal Ensemble actively holds “school tour performances” and “contact music classes” to go to schools and communities, and is working to create opportunities for children to come into contact with real music.
